The purpose of the work is to study the degree of soil and water pollution in Yakutsk.The following tasks were set:1) study the influence of soil and water toxicity; 2) assign the degree of soil contamination.The relevance of the work lies in the fact that control over soil pollution is now very important. In this work, bioindicator plants were used to study environmental pollution.

This article presents the results of studies of the chemical composition of soils in the impact zone of a mining enterprise in the vicinity of Sibay (Republic of Bashkortostan) for the period from 2019 to 2023. Analysis of the dynamics of the soil chemical composition showed the presence of significant excess levels of heavy metals such as Cu, Zn, Ni, Pb and Cd. The data obtained indicate the need to develop measures to restore disturbed lands and conduct ongoing monitoring studies to assess the ecological state of the natural environment.
