This research project examines the impact of a lack of face-to-face communication and social isolation on the psychological well-being of adolescents (students in grades 9-11). It analyzes the causes of social isolation and the psycho-emotional state of students in isolation. Special attention is also paid to ways of overcoming loneliness. Analysis of the data obtained during the study revealed that adolescents experiencing a lack of face-to-face communication are prone to developing negative mental states, which requires the development of methods to support them and prevent social alienation.
Adolescence is characterized by the intensive formation of personality, where communication plays a key role in the development of emotional stability and self-awareness. A lack of communication leads to a disruption of these processes, which causes various psychological difficulties.
In this age period, social isolation is often formed under the influence of the following factors: distance learning formats, individual characteristics such as shyness, difficulties in establishing social contacts and fears associated with communication, and bullying at school. This manifests itself through symptoms of increased anxiety, depressive moods, and decreased self-esteem.
