Many people are unaware of why newborn screening is performed and what hereditary diseases are detected by this way. The article is intended to create a general awareness of this type of research, since there is a problem of misunderstanding of the screening importance and there are cases of people refusing it.The relevance of the selected topic is due to the high frequency of these diseases in different populations, including Russia, so it is important to detect them in time and prevent the development of complications.

The article deals with ovarian apoplexy as an acute gynecologic pathology. Female students and young women, as a group with increased risk of developing this pathology due to changes in hormonal background and lifestyle, are at risk of its occurrence. We studied the etiology, pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, diagnosis and treatment methods of ovarian apoplexy, including conservative and surgical approaches. And we also conducted a questionnaire survey among the patients who applied to the inpatient department of gynecology in Yakutsk, which allowed us to clearly identify the age category and the main factors that could cause the development of this disease.

This article examines the development and current state of pediatric otorhinolaryngological (ENT) care in Yakutia, Russia. It outlines the history of the pediatric ENT department at the Children’s Republican Hospital. It also focuses on the management of acute tonsillitis and the role of tonsillectomy. The study presents data demonstrating an increase in patient admissions in 2023, reaching pre-COVID levels, and a corresponding rise in surgical procedures performed. It discusses the importance of postoperative nursing care following tonsillectomy, emphasizing dietary considerations and vital signs monitoring.
