The author focuses on the using the literary and economic approach to the competitive strategy analysis. This approach is based on the study of the competitive strategies, used by heroes, created by writers in their literary works. It means that the competitive actions of literary heroes have been explicated through the conceptions, which are used in teaching economic disciplines.

The need for strategic planning and development of enterprises plays an important role in doing business in times of crisis and uncertainty; it is in such conditions that all the qualities of the industry (organization) are well manifested; all the weaknesses and strengths of the business become clearly visible. Such thing as competition is also important in conditions of uncertainty. The winner in the competition is the organization or business that was able to achieve high competitive advantages in conditions of uncertainty and crisis. A fight for competition is the most important goal of business, which determines the main ways of behavior of the industry (organization) in a certain period of time. Any organization has its own specific competitive development strategy. The strategy should address the most important issues of the organizations at all levels. The strategy is necessary for business to respond quickly to changes both within the industry (business environment, personnel, equipment, technological processes) and in the external environment (economic situation in the country, sanctions, etc.).
The article presents the tasks and stages of the process of development of marketing competitive strategy of agricultural enterprises. The authors consider the system of competitive strategies, as well as the features of their implementation.
The article is devoted to the development of a competitive strategy for an enterprise. The paper reveals the essence of the categories «competition» and «competitiveness» presents the main characteristics of competitive strategies for the development of enterprises. The calculation of the competitiveness of the main grain-producing enterprises of the Zernograd district of the Rostov region was carried out, on the basis of which a matrix for choosing strategic alternatives for each economic entity was built. As an example, the results of the evaluation of the economic efficiency of the implementation of competitive strategies for two agricultural enterprises of the Zernograd region are presented.
