The article discusses some of the national-cultural components of the temporal word “Monday” in Russian and identifies the reasons for the negative connotations of this day. The linguocultural aspect allows us to consider the noun Monday as a component of the linguistic picture of the world. The characteristics specific to Monday and the associated prescriptions are defined. As an illustrative material attracts the various phraseological units, the statements from the Internet space and newspapers.
In the article the author examines the connection between military toponymics and the language personality of a serviceman as a reflection of the linguistic picture of the world of military society. A brief history of study and military-political preconditions for the nomination of the inner-city objects in Moscow are given, an associative experiment is described. The author gives a quantitative and qualitative description of the most frequent urbanisms in the semantic field of «war». As a result of the study, a conclusion is drawn about the role of toponyms associated with the military society in the formation and development of the language personality of the Russian serviceman. The material of the study can be used both in military education and in the optional course of onomastics in a civilian university.
This article examines the specifics of the implementation of the dominant garden in the Russian artistic picture of the world. Based on the analysis of the implementation of the lexeme in the general language and individual author’s practices of usage, as well as in various texts, the conceptual, value and figurative components of its semantic structure are identified.
The relevance of the proposed study lies in the fact that the study of binary oppositions, their functioning and features of verbalization in the linguistic and mythopoetic worldviews of a particular author is intended to help reconstruct the model of the world that has formed in his mind. Currently, there are no works devoted to such an analysis of A. Platonov's work.The purpose of our work is to consider the functioning of the binary opposition "earth – sky" in A. Platonov's novel "Chevengur" and to identify the individual author's features of the writer's mythopoetic worldview in relation to the national worldview.
The article presents the phytodominants of V.A. Soloukhin, their frequency, functions and meaning in lyrics are analyzed. The relevance of this study is due to the fact that phytodominants in the poetic texts of V.A. Soloukhin were not chosen as the subject of linguistic research. These lexemes are key in building the image of a small homeland in the author's creative laboratory. The purpose of the article is to identify the specifics of Soloukhin's phytodominants as an important component of the writer's linguistic picture of the world. It is noted that the formation of the author as a folk poet occurs through self-awareness in the context of Russian culture, originating in the mists of time.
