Тhis paper examines the current environmental problems of the Smolensk region. Since today there is a deterioration of the environmental situation in the Smolensk region, which leads to the gradual death of representatives of fauna and flora, contamination of soils, underground sources, depletion and degradation of the soil cover, etc. The article discusses the main causes of environmental degradation and their consequences, as well as possible solutions.
Radioactive waste is one of the least publicized, but at the same time the most important environmental problems of the 21st century. Because of their structure and decomposition time, these substances are the most difficult to dispose of. This article is devoted to the methods of their burial. It examines all available methods for isolating waste from the biosphere, the pros and cons of each approach, and identifying the optimal one to date. Radioactive waste is a problem to be solved by the next generation of nuclear power, which is related to the preservation of fuel and material resources for the long term, the development of relatively clean energy sources that cause minimal damage to the environment and preserve the radiation balance in nature.
The environmental situation on the planet is deteriorating every day, landfills with garbage continue to grow, and animals die from the ingestion of tubes and plastic bags. This scientific article discusses the problem of plastic pollution of the planet. How to produce less waste, in particular plastic? The article reveals the concept of zero waste movement, which takes care of the environment and the environment. Particular attention is paid to reusable items that help reduce the amount of plastic in landfills. The author proposed methods for solving the pollution problem by replacing disposable plastic items with more environmentally friendly ones (wooden, steel, etc.).
Thanks to modern scientific developments and technologies, scientists can determine the state of the biosphere, the complex laws of its functioning and development. The problem of the impact of human activities on the environment is of concern not only to the scientific community, but also to the General population, politicians, and governments of various countries. This article presents the facts of the increased influence of humanity on the biosphere and their possible consequences, which can lead to irreversible negative consequences.
With the rapid pace of urbanization, the number of environmental problems is growing. Most of the problems that arise are related to the high concentration of the population in small areas. In this case, there is a large number of personal vehicles and industrial enterprises. According to statistics, in 2021, 75% of the Russian population lives in territorial districts in which there is a deterioration in the quality of life. In modern megacities, emissions of industrial waste are constantly occurring. Most cities are built without taking into account the wind rose. Together, these factors do not allow you to comfortably stay in the central parts of megacities.
