This paper examines the fundamental role of English language for effective international communication within the oil and gas industry, particularly in the era of artificial intelligence (AI). As globalization intensifies, mastery of English becomes essential in collaboration across the globe. The study discusses usage of English language as international communication tool and AI tools for translation in oil and gas sector.

This study explores the role of animal imagery in English and Russian proverbs and sayings, aiming to reveal cultural similarities and differences between these two linguistic traditions. The research examines the origins of proverbs, the semantic connotations of zoonymic components, and the ways in which animal names reflect national mentality. By analysing over 50 proverbs and sayings, the paper identifies three main types of cross linguistic correspondences: 1) identical lexical and semantic matches; 2) equivalent meanings expressed through different animal images; 3) culture specific expressions without direct counterparts. The findings demonstrate that while both languages share a common human experience reflected in folk wisdom, they also exhibit distinct patterns of metaphorical thinking, particularly in the emotional colouring and frequency of animal references. The study contributes to intercultural communication and comparative linguistics by highlighting how language encodes cultural values and worldviews.

The article examines theoretical and practical approaches to implementing the CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) methodology in the process of forming scientific concepts among 3rd–4th grade students. The relevance of the research is determined by the need for early development of subject-language competence, which enables younger students to acquire elements of natural science content in English [1]. The paper analyzes the principles of CLIL, age-related characteristics of younger learners [4], pedagogical conditions for successful integrated learning, and presents methodological solutions for natural science lessons taught in English. The research is based on the analysis of scientific and pedagogical literature, observation, elements of a pedagogical experiment, and comparative analysis of educational materials. It has been shown that the use of CLIL contributes to the formation of basic scientific concepts, the development of cognitive activity and foreign language communicative competence.

This scientific research paper examines youth slang in modern English as a social dialect conditioned by sociocultural, psychological, and technological factors. The study analyzes the mechanisms of slang formation, its key communicative and social functions, and its role in shaping the linguistic identity of contemporary youth. The novelty of the work lies in interpreting youth slang not as a random set of informal expressions, but as a structured linguistic subsystem with predictable functions and development patterns. The reliability of the research is supported by references to current linguistic studies, analysis of real examples from spoken English, and comparison with existing lexicographic sources. The results of the study may be applied in sociolinguistics, education, digital communication analysis, and intercultural studies.

This article examines the role of English language learning in international communication among physicists, young researchers, and graduate students. It analyzes the impact of language on access to relevant and reliable knowledge, as well as the speed of information exchange and the effectiveness of international collaboration. Particular attention is paid to issues of the current linguistic heterogeneity of the scientific community, including the need for high-quality translation, differences in English proficiency, and the possibility of adding language skills to the peer review and publication of scientific articles.
