In connection with the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, there have been dramatic changes in people's lives in Russia and around the world. One of the important and changing conditions for many workers is telecommuting and distance work. This event provided an opportunity for the development of digital technologies everywhere and changed the labor market. For this study, we conducted a survey in the Megino-Kangalassky ulus of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). As a result, it turned out that during the quarantine, work was actively going on to digitize many types of activities. By area of work, these changes were accepted ambiguously. However, the fact that working conditions have changed and now work requires a basic knowledge of technology is clearly becoming clear.

Modern technologies are developing rapidly, especially in the field of artificial intelligence (AI). Algorithms are becoming smarter, faster and more efficient. They are able to perform tasks previously available exclusively to humans – analyze large amounts of data, identify patterns, optimize processes, and even create creative content. Automation and implementation of algorithms lead to changes in the labor market. As AI develops, there is a real threat of competition between specialists and algorithms. It is already important for graduates to understand the need for an informed choice of a future profession, because it is today that the foundations of a successful career tomorrow are laid. The research paper examines the directions of changes in the professional environment under the influence of artificial intelligence technologies. The modern world is rapidly changing due to technology, globalization, and economic processes, and choosing the right direction will provide better opportunities for personal growth, financial stability, and self-fulfillment in life.
