The report tells about the search and research club "Red Pathfinder", which was organized in 2014 at the school museum of secondary school No. 26 in Yakutsk under the leadership of Hristina Ivanovna Chusovskaya. Since 2014, the pathfinders of the club – students of the 7th and 11th grades have established the fate of more than 15 soldiers who went missing during the Great Patriotic War and transmitted information about the burial sites to the relatives of the soldiers.

In connection with the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, there have been dramatic changes in people's lives in Russia and around the world. One of the important and changing conditions for many workers is telecommuting and distance work. This event provided an opportunity for the development of digital technologies everywhere and changed the labor market. For this study, we conducted a survey in the Megino-Kangalassky ulus of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). As a result, it turned out that during the quarantine, work was actively going on to digitize many types of activities. By area of work, these changes were accepted ambiguously. However, the fact that working conditions have changed and now work requires a basic knowledge of technology is clearly becoming clear.
