In this article, the authors touch upon the features in the process of teaching children with hearing impairments. The article provides a brief analysis of the work of scientists who dealt with the problems of teaching mathematics to hearing-impaired students. The authors prove their hypothesis that the quality of teaching geometry to such children can improve if practice-oriented tasks are used in teaching, the authors prove by an experiment conducted in a specialized school where children with hearing impairments study. The article describes in detail the course of the experiment and gives the author's material that was used in the experiment. The comparative diagram shows that, indeed, the control section was performed more successfully in the group where training was conducted using practice-oriented tasks.
PICTOGRAPHIC NATURE OF CHINESE HIEROGLYPHIC WRITING IN SCHOOL EDUCATION // Научно-методический электронный журнал «Концепт». – 2026. – . – URL: http://e-koncept.ru/2026/0.htm
The article investigates the pictographic origin of Chinese hieroglyphic writing using six basic characters: 人 (person), 山 (mountain), 水 (water), 火 (fire), 木 (tree), 日 (sun). The problem of schoolchildren perceiving hieroglyphs as incomprehensible symbols is identified, despite their initial connection with drawings of real objects. The purpose of the work is to demonstrate the pictorial nature of hieroglyphs and develop visual aids to overcome this barrier. Historical, visual-comparative analysis, and a sociological survey of two respondent groups (40 schoolchildren and 40 adults each) were applied. The experiment results showed an average recognition level of ancient pictograms at 35% among schoolchildren and 30% among adults. A set of posters with step-by-step character evolution was created for school use.
