The article is devoted to studying of influence of academic motivation on the level of school adaptation of the child. Describes the origins and features of disadaptation of younger students. Examines types of motivation and ways of formation of motivation to educational activity. Provides a list of diagnostic methods and stages of the experiment on the formation of learning motivation and increase the adaptive capacity of students.
The article considers theoretical aspects of interaction of school and family as an important factor of child’s adaptation to school. Global informatization processes actively invaded into leisure space through computer games. The article analyzes the effect of virtual and real games in the first-grader’s adaptation process, the main problems are highlighted and solution ways are targeted.

The article deals with the problem of adaptation of first-graders to school. At school, first-graders have trouble not only in learning, but also in the perception of a new social role - a student. This leads to changes in the child's self-consciousness. Entry into the first grade of elementary school is associated for the child and the whole family with very significant changes in the way of life, routine, pace.
