The paper discusses the semantics of the nominations of jewelry and small parts of clothing in the vocabulary of Russian old age the talks of Yakutia, identified by the method of continuous sampling from the M.F. Druzhinina, a well-known researcher and connoisseur of dialects of the Russian language.
Nowadays, the names of rock bands as a separate class of onyms are not sufficiently investigated, unlike toponyms, ergonyms, zoonyms and other names. In order to identify the linguistic features of the names of rock bands, this work considers etymology, structural and grammatical classification, semantics and functional specifics of the Ya-kutsk rock band names, which may reflect the state of the spiritual and moral culture of the «informal youth group». The study can be the key to revealing the values of young people through cultural and social connotations.

The article deals with the figurative semantics of Russian phraseologisms that characterize the «appearance of a person». With the help of phraseologisms with the meaning «appearance of a person», you can get an idea of the worldview of a Russian person, as well as the richness of expressive speech, emotional and spiritual life of the people.
The subject of the study is the semantics of Russian verbs with implicit negation and the ways of their translation into English. The author uses such methods as: component analysis, descriptive analysis, transformational analysis, comparative analysis. The author in the article has determined the semantic equivalents of verbs with implicit ne-gation in the Russian and English languages, characterizes the semantic features, and also determines the degree of their correspondence. The theoretical significance of this work is due to the fact that the results of the study contribute to the study of the semantics of negation in general and verbs with implicit negation in English and Russian.
