The article reveals the main features and similarities of languages such as mathematics and English. Basic information about the connection between these disciplines is given. Perspective for the development and promotion of mathematical English and English mathematics in schools and universities. The role of mathematics in the development of a research personality and the importance of introducing research elements in school are revealed. It is noted that mathematics uses abstract models, which are so necessary in the knowledge of language. The main similarities of thinking are revealed. The main branches of the implementation of bilingual education are analyzed.

It is noted that both mathematics and English are the most common languages in the world. With the help of the language of mathematics, scientists in the field of natural sci-ence disciplines can not only understand each other, but also work on a common cause.

Modal verbs are a significant part of English grammar. The use of modal verbs varies between British English and American English. These differences may influence both spoken and written communication, especially in informal speech. This article examines the similarities and differences in the use of modal verbs in contemporary spoken British and American English, using authentic interview material from native speakers Tom Holland (British) and Zendaya (American). The results are described based on the analysis of modern speeches and structured according to their frequency and semantic function. The study highlights how modal verb usage reflects broader cultural and stylistic tendencies in spoken English.
