The main objective of the current research article is to delve into the challenges that arise in the process of the translation of the prohibitions-charms used in the indigenous people Evenk hunting rituals into English language. In this study, the focus is aimed on understanding of the distinctive cultural elements and importance of these rituals, while also addressing to the linguistic and cul-tural obstacles that translators can face when they make attempts to accurately convey their significance. By thoroughly analyzing the complexities involved in translating these charms, the article makes a valuable contribution in the field of linguistic studies and intercultural communication.

The paper is devoted to the study of the fire cult among the Evens, an indigenous small-numbered people of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). Fire plays a key role in the spiritual culture of the Evens, acting as an intermediary between the worlds, a source of purifying and protective power. The paper analyzes traditional rites and rituals associated with fire, prohibitions and omens passed down from generation to generation. Hunting traditions and the sacred significance of fire in everyday and ritual life are described. The purpose of the study is to revive interest in the tra-ditions and language of the Evens. The practical significance of the material lies in the possibility of its use in educational and cultural events.
