The paper deals with the disputes of the artists Syromolotovs on art in S. N. Sergeev-Tsensky's novel “Doomed to death”. Representatives of different generations, the father and the son, differently look on new in life in general and on art in particular. The reasons caused the polar views of art in many respects are caused by social development of the country at the beginning of the XX century. The attention to positions of each artist concerning art is paid, methods of art creativity of each of them are considered.

The author analyzes the phenomenon of a city and its image in culture and art, its role in art education. In the search of functions and purposes of city image depicting by artists for many centuries, the author comes to positive conclusions about the development of creative and cognitive activity as a part of educational and individual artistic processes. Work in the cityscape genre designates professional ideological reference points in the student’s creativity. A special place in the genre of cityscape is given to the studying of architecture history and its styles, represented in modern urban space. The author also identifies artistic practical skills of young artists developed during cityscape drawing.
The article characterizes classical music as a means of aesthetic education of younger students, defines the role of classical music in the development of students ' personality. In the framework of the study, the authors identify the features of the influence of classical music on the process of teaching and education of students in secondary school.
