Abstract. Paper is devoted to comparison of memoirs of writer E. A. Permjak (1902–1982) about his childhood, past on the Votkinsk factory in the beginning of XX century and artistic images of the novel «Humpbacked bear» (1965) in which basis lay themes and prototypes of Votkinsk
