The Main Peculiarities of Provincial Text of English Literature

Abstract. The purpose of this report is to research Provincial Text of English Literature. Its central part, which is con-nected with an image of an industrial town, is represented by novels by Ch. Dickens and E. Gaskell, where-as the majority of texts about English province is in the outlying part of the supertext. The author analyzes the central concept town and makes a conclusion about the peculiarities of the perception of a provincial town in English lingua culture.
