Initial ecological education in the modern city environment

Abstract. This article describes one of the promising directions in the implementation process ecological education of the schoolchildren in the light of transition to the competent approach in the field of education. Discusses the possibility and conditions of the excursion along the ecological trail in the modern city environment that will promote formation of ecologically competent behaviour of junior schoolchildren in nature.
