Abstract. The author gives the definition of the term "quest", which becomes more and more popular in educational sphere. The author considers the experience of the chair of computer science and information technologies in education in using quest techniques for increasing the pedagogical literacy in informational and commu-nicational technology. The article also gives the examples of quest tasks and the result of survey, made among the participants.
