Cultural and psychological understanding of the phenomenon of loneliness

Abstract. Paper is devoted to the problem of loneliness as objective and subjective situation which develops in the interaction of an individual with the social environment, and which is characterized by the space-time ("physical" loneliness), communicative, emotional, spiritual features, and by the subjective perception and experience (psychological isolation), which can have both negative and positive modality.
