Names of marshes, low spots and reservoirs: derivational aspect

Abstract. The paper discusses some of the names of natural objects that exist in the Russian national dialects. The author views the peculiarities of word-formation models, which created names of swamps, sinks and reservoirs in the area of Russian-Belarusian border region, existing in the modern Russian national language.
