"Russian" and "Ruthenian" in the sphere of concepts of the novel Taras Bulba by Nikolay Gogol

Abstract. Comparative analysis of two editions of the novel Taras Bulba leads to a conclusion that a notional widening of geographic-national concepts "Russian", "Russian land" is caused by the changes in Nikolay Gogol's views under the influence of the Slavophils.
