Death of Ivan the Terrible children in the context of a political struggle for the throne

Abstract. This article discusses possible reasons for the death of seven-month-old son of Ivan the terrible, Tsarevich Dmitry. The most likely is the struggle for possession of the throne. Also considered possible causes of death couple-Rech other young children of the first Russian Tsar.
