Abstract. The paper discusses statements of probabilistic theoretical mechanics problems offered for decision on classes in theoretical mechanics at universities and higher educational institutions. Negative and positive cases are given. In the negative case, solution is demonstrated in the original context and some computational complexities arise. An answer is obtained with non-symmetrical interval bounds of a given width. Then a modified statement is given on the base of symmetrical confidence interval. In the positive case the complexities are minimal.
