Abstract. Modeling of natural processes in environmental studies of ecosystem function can be implemented through a set of physical demonstrations and evaluating problems related to hydrocarbon pollution of the hydro- and atmosphere, acid precipitation, local ozone holes, air pollution, micro dispersed particles and so on. Creation and analysis of training models created and developed by the author in physics allows for students to identify the nature of regional environmental problems, assess their risk, calculate the effects quantitatively, and suggest solutions.
