The repressive component of Russian anti-corruption policy in historical perspective

Abstract. The paper is dedicated to historical and legal analysis of legal sanctions applied to corrupt officials in Russia. The author is convinced that tightening of criminal penalties is useless if it is not ensured with a ripe sense of justice and effective anticorruption standards.
