Abstract. In this article the problem of cognitive development research activities through the organization of pre-school children and the natural history of experimentation. Based on the theoretical analysis of the identified problem and summarize the results of the study, it is established that experimentation contributes to the formation of children environmental representations of objects, objects and phenomena of nature, activates the cognitive development.
