Woeful mind (comedy Griboyedov "Woe from Wit" and its implementation on the Russian stage)

Abstract. The article is devoted to one of the crucial themes in the development of Russian literature and theater. The paper studied the play Griboedov "Woe from Wit" in the context of the biography of the playwright, as well as in the context of its assessment of the outstanding figures of Russian literature - Pushkin, Goncharov, AA Blok and others. The article reveals the artistic lines connecting proverbially famous plays with modernity. The final stage is a brief history of the comedy "Woe from Wit" in Russia.
