Code of Ethics of the Journal

Code of Ethics of the scientific and methodological electronic journal "Koncept" editors

Editors Responsibilities
Editors are responsible for all materials published in the journal. They ensure high quality of published materials; strive to meet the needs of readers and authors; constantly improve the journal; respect freedom of views expression.
In relations with the authors, the editors:
- are guided by the reliability of submitted data and the scientific significance of the work under consideration;
- publish corrections, clarifications, retractions and apologies when necessary;
- announce the mechanisms for appealing against editorial decisions for the authors.
New editors have no right to cancel decisions on the publication of materials approved by previous editors, unless there are serious reasons for this.

Duties of reviewers:
- the manuscript received for review is treated as a confidential document; its transfer for review or discussion to third parties who do not have the appropriate authority is not allowed;
- a peer reviewer gives an objective and reasoned assessment of the stated results of the study;
- unpublished data is not used for personal purposes and is not transferred to third parties;
- a reviewer who cannot be objective, for example, in case of a conflict of interest with the author or organization, should inform the editor about this with a request to exclude him from the process of reviewing this manuscript.

In case of complaints, the editors respond to claims regarding the reviewed manuscripts or published materials, and, when a conflict situation is identified, take all necessary measures to restore the violated rights.

The process of responding to a complaint against editors
A complaint can be lodged in case of conflict with the editorial board of the journal, reviewer, other author or reader. It should be submitted in writing to the postal address of the editorial board with the original documents, if the author refers to them. The term for responding to a complaint is no more than three months from the day it was received by the journal. An expert commission consisting of at least four members (one chairman and three members of the editorial board) is convened if necessary, after a complaint is received, and after consideration of the complaint, the decision of the expert commission is sent to the claimant by mail.

Protection of personal information
Editors protect confidentiality of personal information (address of residence, phone number). Name, academic degree and title, position, place of work and email address are available to readers in the text of published article (according to the License Agreement).

Unacceptable are:

• falsification of data in a scientific article: the experiment was not conducted, its results were invented or adjusted to confirm the hypothesis;
• plagiarism: borrowing large parts of other authors’ works and borrowing elements of their works without appropriate references;
• duplicate (multiple) publications: papers in which some changes are made to the text (at least 50% of the text of the article), but the article itself is based on the same experiment.
