Within the framework of this study, the problems and prospects of inter-municipal cooperation in the context of the development of the Arctic zone of the Republic of Karelia are considered. The organizational and economic aspect of this topic is the main focus of this study. Based on this, one of the main objectives of this study is to identify the reasons that hinder effective inter-municipal interaction in the Arctic zone of the Republic of Karelia. It is important to take into account organizational aspects, such as the improvement of the management system and coordination of the activities of municipalities, as well as the development of partnership between them.
