In article substantiates the relevance and necessity of the organization of project and research activity when studying elements of geometry locates in elementary school. Stages and steps of modeling and design of volume figures by younger pupils are considered. Results of a pilot study on influence of methods of design and research activity on formation of geometrical representations and concepts on base of 3rd grade of MBOU NOSH of Gaverdovski (Republic of Adygea) are generalized.

The paper deals with theactual problem of designing safe and competitive apparel for school-age children by improving the methods confectioning, cut and design methodology for designing. The autho presents practical advice on the choice of materials in school uniform package, in particular, the possibilities of use of the protective properties of the current range of textile materials with ionoplazm coated with the aim of designing garments for schoolchildren, weaken the effects of electromagnetic radiation. To solve the problems of psychological and social adaptation of schoolboys the methodology of "open" design and possibility of its application in the development of visually diverse range of school uniform models were analyzed.
