This article discusses the calendar and ritual holidays of the Yakuts as an object of ethnolinguistic interpretation. The purpose of the research is to study and identify the features of calendar and ritual terms of the Sakha people.

The work considers the semantics of the housing nomination based on the material of Russian old-timer dialects of Yakutia. The vocabulary presented in the dialects reflects the historical and cultural path of development of Russian old-timers, the peculiarities of the functioning and development of the language in a foreign language environment and isolation. Analysis of the semantics of nominations made it possible to identify a wide variety of species and types in the names of dwellings, which allowed the author to sys-tematize them into groups.
