The article analyzes the well-known methods for calculating electricity losses during the transmission of electricity in the elements of the electrical network. The problem of the need to take into account additional losses of electricity in non-sinusoidal and asymmetric modes of operation of rural electrical networks with a voltage of 0.38-10 kV is formulated. The authors propose to take into account additional power losses under the conditions of simultaneous impact on power losses of many factors, such as: power factor, current asymmetry level, current non-sinusoidality level in the linear wires of the network, ambient air temperature, service life of the network element.
Currently, the issue of increasing the reliability of electric power systems is acute due to the high level of wear of electrical equipment. To solve this problem, an adequate assessment of the reliability level of existing electrical systems is necessary. The assessment of the reliability of electrical grid equipment is based on a large amount of statistical data on the number and causes of failures. The article provides some statistical data on malfunctions and their causes for power and measuring transformers.
