The article analyzes the degree of demand for innovations among the residents of Samara region. Based on the research conducted by methods of questionnaire and expert survey, the authors identify the most popular innovations in education, medicine, municipal administration, in the cultural and leisure spheres.
Rural tourism acts as a driver of regional development, which is manifested in the following areas: creating new jobs; self-employment; attracting investment; reviving traditions (folklore, crafts, rituals, gastronomy); humanizing society – bringing cities and villages closer together; increasing the attractiveness of rural lifestyles; attracting more tourists, including foreign ones. Smolensk region is one of the most promising and dynamically developing tourist destinations in Russia, which can realize the growing demand of the population for recreation and recreation in rural areas.
The significance of higher school organization for regional development is revealed. The analysis of data describing the dynamics of development and current state of higher education in the Smolensk region is given. The region's position in a number of indicators is shown against the background of subjects of the Central Federal district.
The article analyzes the role of the regional healthcare system in ensuring national security, with a focus on the activities of military medical institutions. Special attention is given to the FSBI «1409 Naval Clinical Hospital» of the Ministry of Defense of Russia as an example of effective interaction between the defense sector and civilian healthcare. The main areas of the hospital's activities are considered, including providing medical services to the personnel of the Armed Forces, conducting scientific research, and implementing modern technologies in treatment practices. The importance of the institution's technological leadership and scientific potential for the development of the entire regional healthcare system is emphasized. It is concluded that a comprehensive approach to solving medical problems contributes to strengthening national security and the socio-economic well-being of the territory.
