This article offers methodological material on “Inversion" which is one of the most difficult and yet, dimly lit in the school course of English subject-matter. The proposed set of exercises provides various kinds of tasks on practicing this grammatical phenomenon in a variety of contexts and is intended for high school classes, as well as for those deeply involved in the English language.

The actuality, goals and objectives of the research work directed on studying the ways of wordbuilding of special terms in English are formulated. The universal ways of wordbuilding are studied. The ways of wordbuilding of welding terms are analyzed. Examples of welding terms built by different ways are given.

Opinion essay (task № 40) is one of the most difficult tasks in the state national exam the successful com-pletion of which guarantees students 14 points. This article presents the author’s personal view on the senior students’ preparation for this task. The author offers some useful tips that will reduce difficulties when doing this task.

The article is dedicated to the actual problem of FSES application in the teaching process at the English lessons at school. The author paid special attention to the educational technology of interactive teach-ing, its peculiarities, functions, and effectiveness. In the article there are two examples of English les-sons based on this technology with detailed description of the goals, phases and results gained by the 8–9th form students during the lessons.
