Abstract. Article is devoted to the problem of optimizing the overall chemical education through the use of integrated cognitive tasks in teaching students of chemistry. The solution of the problem is due to the leading ideas reflected in the documents of UNESCO and the Federal state educational standard of general education of the Russian Federation.
