Abstract. Communicative and pragmatic peculiarities of the language game are distinguished in the article. The model of communicative situation of D. Hymes is put into the bases. A speech game may be built on the violation of each aspects of such situation. The roles of an addresser and an addressee; the category of «subject of speech» (topic); circumstances, it means the place, the date and another important parameters; communica-tive channel; code, that is language, dialect, style, form of communication or a speech genre; communicative event; a key is the assessment of effectiveness of communicative event; the aim is the category which shows the motivation of the participants of the communicative situation.
