Problems of studying of methods of mathematical statistics students of the psychological direction

Abstract. The row of difficulties arising up for students in the process of mastering and use of methods of mathematical statistics is considered in the article. The paradoxical situation is designated and analyzed: contrary to expectations, problems of development and application of statistical methods have not so "mathematical" character. Recommendations about increase of efficiency of assimilation by students of the corresponding training material are formulated.
