Theatrical costume deployed as a metaphor

Abstract. The paper examines the original sketches of costumes for plays on music of Tchaikovsky "Iolanta" and "The Nutcracker”. It is shown that the composition of the costume is the way for the author to show a significant social and philosophical content. We consider the resumption of play with costumes of the artist in our time.
