The use of the method of the projects in teaching English language in non-linguistic university

Abstract. The paper analyses the method of projects, which is one of the most efficient in teaching the English lan-guage. The paper examines the main theoretical and practical basis for the use of project methodology in educational process. Moreover, the paper illustrates the results of the experiment of the Department of History and Philology of the Stavropol State Pedagogical Institute. The use of the method of projects is thought to improve the motivation to language learning. The purpose of the research is to prove the effectiveness of the method of projects.
