In conditions of making high demands of modern education, and also due to the rapid development of software and information technology, the role of informational and technological support of the educational process increases. The relevance of the presented research is caused by necessity of creation and development of electronic educational environment in educational institutions. Electronic educational environment is a many-sided concept that includes managerial, methodological, technical and informational components. In this article, the authors pay special attention to the managerial and technical components in the development of automation system for reserving classrooms and facilities that would operate within the electronic learning environment of the University. It will allow, according to the authors, to avoid classrooms overcrowding, to increase control efficiency and to improve management of the educational process. In normative juridical aspect, creation and development of electronic educational environment is conditioned by the new wording of Federal Law No 273 and by the national project "Education". Thus, the aim of this paper is to describe the development of a web application for the electronic educational environment of the University in the field of the auditorium fund reserving. This application will allow, to the authors’ opinion, to automate and simplify the process of auditorium fund management. The main method of research was experimental method (pilot testing), which helped to reveal characteristic features of the developed system for classrooms reserving. The article describes the principle of the system operation, its main functions, testing of the developed program. It reveals the criteria that were taken into account when choosing programming environment for program development. The developed program is adaptive and will optimize the process of reserving classrooms in different educational institutions and will be useful for researchers in this field.
