The purpose of the paper is to identify premises of lacunology formation as a perspective branch of methodic of teaching foreign languages and culture. The paper discusses the theoretical foundations for lacunology as the theory of student’s effective adaptation in language and intercultural communication. The systematic basis of modeling of lacuna elimination teaching content are lacuna theory, theory of lacuna elimination, sociocultural component of speech behavior teaching, teaching polyglot’s linguistic and psychological strategies for language acquisition, culture of social behavior and interaction, language communication. They reveal method of formation of universal communicative actions of student, integration of cultural adaptation, formation of second language personality.
