The article describes practical experience of using various techniques of memorizing information in the process of foreign language learning. The description of a practical lesson conducted by the students with the use of independently developed tasks on the topic “Basic terms of economics” in the course of studying the discipline “Foreign (English) language” is presented. The results of questionnaire aimed at determining students’ educational needs and defining the degree of interaction between a foreign language teacher and students are analyzed.
