The adaptive enviromental approach is neededfor optimization oflocation of tea plantations in Adygea Republic. The approach will lead to high sustanaible use of natural resourses in the republic and to get plant production of a higher quality in a current social -economic conditions. The aim ofthis work is to show agro-ecological basis of optimal location of teaplantations inAdygeaRepublic. The analisis of climatic, soil and relief conditions of the Republic was carried out. The agroecological requirements of Tea plant were taken into account for this work. In the result of the work the optimal zone for tea plantations there was preliminary revieled and it will be undergofurther examination. The confirmation of need irrigation of tea plants in foothill areas of Adygea was done. The cultivation of tea plants in Adygea Republic is possible in Maikop region on the acidic brown forest soils 450-1000 meters aslwith irrigation and mineral fertilizers.
