The paper discusses the history of electronic bracelets in Russia, analyzes the procedure of their use of electronic and reveals number of legal and organizational problems related to the research topic.

The article is devoted to the purpose of criminal punishment in form of correctional works. The author substantiates the necessity of preserving this type of criminal punishment in the criminal law with the introduction of relevant changes.
