Different types of emotive exercises (emotive saturation, emotive modeling and compositional prognostication) as well as reproductive-creative exercises are considered in the article. The importance of introducing the technology of teaching students, majoring in non-linguistic specialties, how to generate emo-tive utterances in foreign languages within the framework of functional-cognitive approach is emphasized
