The relevance of video game organization for teaching college students a foreign language is significant, as it increases motivation, engagement and efficiency of mastering the material, reduces stress and allows you to practice the language in a natural environment, developing all skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing. The purpose of the study in the article is to analyze the theory and practice of organizing a video game for teaching a foreign language to college students (using the example of the specialty of secondary vocational education 44.02.02 «Teaching in primary grades»). As a result, it was determined that the theory of the video game is based on the phenomenon of the game and related categories with such specificity in teaching a foreign language to college students. In practical terms, it was found that a video game in teaching a foreign language is implemented on the basis of a number of digital platforms, through gamification in practical classes in a foreign language, in the context of the specialty of secondary vocational education 44.02.02 «Teaching in primary grades».
