Based on aircraft monitoring data for the period 2017-2021, an analysis of methane concentration in the atmosphere over Central Yakutia at altitudes from 34 m to 3,000 m was carried out. Seasonal variations were identified that minimum methane concentration values are characteristic of the warm period, while maximum values are characteristic of the cold period. The vertical profile of methane concentration shows stable stratification. Maximum concentrations are recorded at levels of 34–100 m, and minimum concentrations are recorded at altitudes of 2000–3000 m, regardless of the time of year. It is shown that intense wildfires in 2021 disrupted this vertical structure.
