The article examines approaches to assessing the effectiveness of environmental projects. The dynamics of modern setting of environmental goals, their reflection in the practice of enterprises in the territory of the Russian Federation are assessed. Existing approaches to assessing environmental effects are analyzed and the disadvantages and advantages of individual solutions, as well as the areas of application of these approaches, are noted.
