The article discusses the features of the tourism potential of the Republic of Benin. The main historical and cultural attractions of Benin are listed. The general problems of the development of the tourism industry are noted, which include environmental and social factors that hinder the development of tourism in West Africa.

In this article, the author examines the village of Vasilsursk from the point of view of cultural tourism. He describes the history of this settlement, namely its foundation and the events that took place during the existence of the settlement. The author also reveals the concept of «tourist route» and, based on articles written about Vasilsursk, develops the concept of the tourist route «Interesting Vasilsursk». In addition, he describes each tourist object included in the scope of the route and analyzes the relevance of the concept being developed based on a survey. The work is relevant and intended for people who will be interested in the history of Vasilsursk and its attractions.
